வெள்ள அனர்த்தம் ! செங்கலடியில் தற்காலிக முகாம்களில் தங்கியுள்ள 80 குடும்பங்களுக்கு உலர் உணவுப் பொதிகள் !
மட்டக்களப்பு மாவட்டத்தில் வெள்ள அனர்த்தத்தினால் பாதிக்கப்பட்ட மக்களுக்கான நிவாரணப் பணிகள் பல்வேறு தரப்பினராலும் முன்னெடுக்கப்பட்டு வருகின்றன.
இதன் ஒரு பகுதியாக, ஏறாவூர் பற்று, செங்கலடி பிரதேச செயலகப் பிரிவுக்குட்பட்ட பகுதிகளில் ஏற்பட்ட வெள்ளப் பெருக்கு காரணமாக இடம்பெயர்ந்து, தற்காலிக இடைத்தங்கள் முகாம்களில் தங்கியுள்ள மக்களுக்கான அத்தியாவசிய உதவிகள் வழங்கி வைக்கப்பட்டன.
செங்கலடி கொம்மாதுறையினை மையமாக கொண்டு தொழில்பயிற்சியினை வழங்கி வருகின்ற VCOT நிலையத்தின் விவேகானந்த சமுதாய அறக்கட்டளை பிரிவின் ஏற்பாட்டில் செங்கலடி பிரதேச செயலகத்தின் வழிகாட்டலில், பாதிக்கப்பட்ட மக்களின் உடனடித் தேவைகளைக் கருத்திற்கொண்டு இந்த நிவாரணப் பணி முன்னெடுக்கப்பட்டது.
குறித்த உதவித் திட்டத்தின் கீழ், முகாம்களில் தங்கியுள்ள மிகவும் பாதிக்கப்பட்ட 80 குடும்பங்களுக்கு அவசியமான உலர் உணவுப் பொதிகள் வழங்கி வைக்கப்பட்டன. இந்த மனிதாபிமானப் பணிக்குத் தேவையான நிதியுதவியினை “மனித நேய நம்பிக்கை நிதியம்” (Manitha Neya Trust) மற்றும் அதன் நன்கொடையாளர்கள் வழங்கியிருந்தனர்.
அனர்த்த வேளைகளில் பாதிக்கப்பட்ட மக்களுக்கான விசேட தேவைகளை நிறைவு செய்யும் வகையில் தமது அறக்கட்டளை தொடர்ச்சியாக இத்தகைய உதவிடும் உறவுகள் மூலமாகப் பணிகளை முன்னெடுத்து வருகின்றமை குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.

Flood disaster: Dry-ration food packs for 80 families staying in temporary camps in Chengaladi!
Relief efforts for the people affected by the flood disaster in the Batticaloa district are being carried out by various groups. As part of this initiative, essential assistance was provided to those who were displaced by the flooding in the areas under the Eravur Pattu, Chengaladi Divisional Secretariat and are currently staying in temporary shelters.
This relief effort was organized by the Vivekananda Community Foundation (VCF), through VCOT which provides vocational training centered in Koomathurai, Chengaladi, and carried out under the guidance of the Chengaladi Divisional Secretariat, considering the immediate needs of the affected people. Under this relief program, essential dry-ration food packs were provided to 80 highly affected families staying in the camps. The required financial assistance for this humanitarian effort was provided by the “Manitha Neyam Trust” and its donors. It is noteworthy that the foundation continues to carry out such humanitarian activities to meet the special needs of affected communities during disaster situations.
