வெள்ளத்தின் சுவடுகள் தாண்டிய மலையக மக்களுக்கு பொங்கல் பொதிகள் !

டித்வா புயலால் பாதிக்கப்பட்ட மக்களின் தேவைப்பாட்டிற்கமைய எமது விவேகானந்த சமுதாய அறக்கட்டளையானது பல்வேறு செயற்பாடுகளை எமது புலம்பெயர் உறவுகளின் அனுசரணையுடன் முன்னெடுத்துவருகின்றது.

அதனடிப்படையில், பதுளை மாவட்டத்தில் ஊரி கிராமத்தில் கடந்த டித்வா புயலால் பாதிக்கப்பட்டு முகாம்களில் தங்கியுள்ள 63 குடும்பங்களுக்கு தைப்பொங்கல் தினத்தினை முன்னிட்டு அவர்களுக்கான பொங்கல் பானை மற்றும் அதற்கான பொருட்களும் வழங்கப்பட்டது.

மலையக சிறுவர் இல்ல ஏற்பாட்டில் VCOT மற்றும் விவேகானந்த சமுதாய அறக்கட்டளையின் நன்கொடை உறவுகளின் நிவாரண அனர்த்த நிதியில் இருந்து இச் செயற்பாடு முன்னெடுக்கப்பட்டமை குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.

அனர்த்தத்தின் போது எமக்கு நிதி வழங்கிய நன்கொடையாளர்களிற்கு இந்த மக்களின் சார்பில் நன்றியினையும் வாழ்த்துக்களையும் தெரிவிப்பதுடன், மலையகத்தில் பாதிக்கப்பட்ட மக்களின் மறுவாழ்வு செயற்பாட்டினை தொடர்ந்து முன்னெடுக்கவிருக்கின்றோம் என்பதுடன் அறக்கட்டளையின் அனைத்து உறவுகளிற்கும் இனிய தைப்பொங்கல் வாழ்த்துக்களையும் தெரிவித்துக் கொள்கின்றோம்.

Pongal gift packs for the hill country people beyond the scars of the floods !

In response to the needs of the people affected by Cyclone Dithwa, our Vivekananda Community Foundation has been implementing various initiatives with the support of our diaspora partners.

Accordingly, in Uri village of the Badulla District, Pongal pots and the required items were distributed to 63 families who were affected by the recent Cyclone Dithwa and are currently residing in camps, in view of the Thai Pongal festival.

It is noteworthy that this initiative was carried out using the disaster relief funds contributed by donors of VCOT and the Vivekananda Community Foundation under the coordination of the Hill Country Children’s Home.

On behalf of the affected people, we extend our gratitude and best wishes to the donors who provided financial assistance during the disaster. We also reaffirm our commitment to continue the resettlement and rehabilitation activities for the affected communities in the hill country, and we convey our heartfelt Thai Pongal wishes to all members and well-wishers of the Foundation.
