மலையக மாணவர்களின் எதிர்காலத்தைப் பாதுகாக்க ஒரு வேண்டுகோள்

டித்வா புயலின் கோரத் தாண்டவம் மலையகக் குடும்பங்களின் வாழ்வாதாரத்தைப் புரட்டிப் போட்டது.

அவசரகால உதவிகள் நடந்தாலும், ஓர் அத்தியாவசியக் குழுவினர் கடுமையான நெருக்கடியில் உள்ளனர். அவர்கள்தான் பல்கலைக்கழக மாணவர்கள்.

கடுமையான சூழல்களையும், பொருளாதாரத் தடைகளையும் தாண்டி, இரவும் பகலும் போராடி உயர்தரத்தில் சித்தி பெற்று உயர்கல்விக்கு வந்த இந்த மாணவர்கள், வெள்ளத்தால் குடும்ப வருமானம், உடைமைகள் மற்றும் முக்கியமாக கற்றல் உபகரணங்கள் அனைத்தையும் இழந்து நிற்கின்றனர். குடும்பச் சுமை மற்றும் எதிர்காலக் கல்வி குறித்த மன உளைச்சலில் தவிப்பது ஒரு சில மாணவர்களுடன் பேசும் போது புரிகின்றது.

மண்சரிவு மற்றும் வெள்ளம் அவர்களின் குடும்பத்தின் குடிசைக்குள் நுழைந்தபோது, அவர்கள் இழந்தது வெறும் வீட்டுப் பொருட்களை மட்டுமல்ல. ஒரு மாணவனின் எதிர்காலமே அடங்கியிருந்த புத்தகங்கள், குறிப்பேடுகள், பல்கலைக்கழகத் தொடர்புகளுக்கான மடிக்கணினிகள் (Laptops) போன்றவை சேதமடைந்துவிட்டன.

கலைந்துபோன கனவுகள் குடும்பத்தின் துயரத்தையும், நாளாந்த வருமானம் இல்லாத நிலையையும் நேரில் கண்டு, பல்கலைக்கழக கல்வியைத் தொடர்வதா அல்லது வீட்டு சுமையினை சுமப்பதா என்ற மன அழுத்தத்தில் இருக்கிறார்கள்.

குடும்பத்தின் மறுவாழ்வுக்கு உதவ முடியாமலும், குடும்பத்திற்கு பாரமாகிவிட்டோமோ என்ற சூழல் அவர்களை மனதளவில் வெகுவாகப் பாதித்திருப்பதனை உணர முடிகின்றது.

இவர்கள் வெறும் பாதிக்கப்பட்ட குடும்ப உறுப்பினர்கள் மட்டுமல்ல, மலையகத்தின் எதிர்கால தூண்கள் . இவர்களின் கல்வியைத் தொடர்வது சமுதாயத்தின் வளர்ச்சிக்கு மிகச் சிறந்த முதலீடு ஆகும்.

முதற்கட்டமாக ஒரு மாணவரின் ஓராண்டிற்கான கல்விச் செலவினைப் பொறுப்பேற்கலாம்
இது மாணவர்களுக்கு மாதாந்த உதவியாக வழங்கப்படும்.

💻 கற்றல் உபகரணங்கள் :
புத்தகங்கள், குறிப்பேடுகள் அல்லது மடிக்கணினி போன்றவற்றுக்கு நிதியை வழங்கலாம்.

🤝 உளவியல் ஆதரவு :
மாணவர்களின் மன உளைச்சலைப் போக்க ஆற்றுப்படுத்துதல் (Counselling) சேவைகளை வழங்கலாம்.

உங்கள் பங்களிப்பு, ஒரு மாணவரின் கல்விக்கு ஒளியேற்றி, அவர்களின் கண்ணீரைத் துடைக்கும் மகத்தான பணியாகும்.

The devastation caused by Cyclone Ditwa has utterly shattered the livelihoods of families in the Hill Country.

While emergency relief efforts are underway, a crucial and particularly vulnerable group is now facing severe distress: University Students.

These young individuals, who fought hard through difficult circumstances and economic barriers to qualify for higher education, have lost everything in the floods—family income, homes, belongings, and most importantly, their essential learning materials. Conversations with these students reveal the deep mental anguish they are experiencing due to their family's burden and the uncertainty of their academic future.

The Depth of Their Crisis

When the landslides and floods breached their family dwellings, they lost more than just household items. A student's future was drowned, as their books, notebooks, and laptops—essential for their university connections and studies—were either destroyed or lost.

• Shattered Dreams: Seeing their family's suffering and the loss of daily income, they are under immense pressure, forced to decide between continuing their university education or bearing the family's financial burden.
• Need for Rehabilitation: The inability to assist their family in rehabilitation and the feeling of being a burden profoundly impacts their psychological well-being.

They are not merely affected family members; they are the future pillars of the Hill Country. Helping them continue their education is the single best investment we can make to lift a family out of poverty and foster community advancement.
