மாவிலங்கத்துறை கிராமத்தில் கல்வி மேம்பாட்டு செயற்பாடுகள்

கிராமங்களின் மாற்றத்திற்கான வலுவூட்டல் என்னும் தொனிப்பொருளில் வறுமை கோட்டின் கீழ் வாழும் பின்தங்கிய கிராமப் பிரதேசங்களுக்கான பல்வேறு செயற்றிட்டங்களை எமது விவேகானந்த சமுதாய அறக்கட்டளையானது முன்னெடுத்து வருகின்றது. அதற்கிணங்க எமது மாதிரி கிராமமாக தெரிவுசெய்யப்பட்ட மாவிலங்கத்துறை கிராமத்தில் கடந்த 4 வருடங்களாக எமது செயற்பாடுகள் தேவைப்பாட்டின் அடிப்படையில் முன்னெடுக்கப்பட்டு வருகின்றது.

மட்டக்களப்பு மாவட்டத்தின் மண்முனைப்பற்று பிரதேச செயலகப்பிரிவிற்குட்பட்ட ஆரையம்பதி பிரதேசத்தில் அமைந்துள்ள மாவிலங்கத்துறை கிராமமானது மாவிலங்கத்துறை சித்தி விநாயகர் ஆலயத்தை ஆதிக்கடவுளாகக் கொண்டு செயற்பாட்டு வரும் நிலையில் மன்முனைப்பற்று பற்றிமாபுரம் மாவிலங்கத்துறை என 3 பிரதேசங்களை உள்ளடக்கியதாக காணப்படும் இக்கிராமத்தில் மாவிலங்கத்துறை விக்னேஸ்வரா வித்தியாலயத்தில் பயிலும் தரம் 2 முதல் 11 வரையான மாணவர்களுக்கு பாடசாலை முடிவடைந்த பின்னர் ஆங்கிலம் மற்றும் சிங்கள பாடங்களுக்கான மாலை நேர வகுப்புக்களும் ஆரம்பிக்கப்பட்டு தற்போது வரை நடைமுறைப்படுத்தப்பட்டு வருகின்றது.

அதற்கிணங்க இச்செயற்பாட்டினை மேற்பார்வை செய்வதற்கான களவிஜயம் மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்டதைத் தொடர்ந்து ஆங்கில மற்றும் சிங்கள வகுப்பில் பயிலும் மாணவர்களை சந்தித்து அவர்களது கல்வி மேம்பாடு மற்றும் முன்னேற்றங்கள் தொடர்பிலும் கலந்துரையாடியதோடு மாணவர்களின் புள்ளிகள் அதிகரிப்பு தொடர்பிலும் பின்னூட்டல்களும் கிடைக்கப்பெற்றது.

Educational Development Initiatives in Mavilangathurai Village

Under the theme “Empowering Villages for Transformation,” the Vivekananda Community Foundation has been implementing various projects for underprivileged rural communities living below the poverty line. Accordingly, for the past four years, our activities have been carried out based on the needs identified in Mavilangathurai village, which was selected as our model village.

Mavilangathurai is a village located in the Araiyampathy area of the Manmunai Pattu Divisional Secretariat Division in the Batticaloa District. The village functions with the Mavilangathurai Siththi Vinayagar Temple as its principal place of worship and comprises three areas: Manmunai Pattu, Paththimapuram, and Mavilangathurai. At Mavilangathurai Vigneshwara Vidyalayam, evening classes in English and Sinhala have been initiated and continue to be conducted for students from Grade 2 to Grade 11 after school hours.

Following a field visit conducted to monitor these activities, we met with the students attending the English and Sinhala classes and discussed their educational development and progress. We also received positive feedback regarding the improvement in the students’ academic performance and marks.
