முல்லைத்தீவில் அமைந்துள்ள எமது அன்னை ஸ்ரீ சாரதா நிலையத்தில் பயிலும் மாணவிகளுக்கு விசேட மதிய உணவு வழங்குவதன் மூலம் தமது செயற்பாட்டை ஆரம்பித்த அவர் மாணவிகளுக்கு உணவு வழங்குவதோடு நின்றுவிடாமல் தைத்திருநாள் சித்திரைப் புது வருடம் தீபாவளி என பண்டிகை நாட்களை முன்னிட்டு அன்னை ஸ்ரீ சாரதா நிலையத்தினருக்கு வருடாந்தம் புத்தாடைகளை வழங்கி வருகின்றார்.

தைத்திருநாளை முன்னிட்டு எமது விவேகானந்த சமுதாய அறக்கட்டளையால் முன்னெடுக்கப்பட்ட பொங்கல் பொதிகள் வழங்கும் திட்டத்தில் பங்கேற்று தேவையான குடும்பங்களுக்கு பொங்கல் பொதிகளையும் வழங்குதற்கு பங்களிப்பினை மேற்கொண்டார்.

அவ்வாறே இயற்கை அனர்த்தங்களின் போது எமது அறக்கட்டளையினூடாக வெள்ள நிவாரணப் பொதிகளையும் வழங்கி வைத்தார்.

இவ்வாறு சமுதாயத்தினை மையப்படுத்திய பல்வேறு செயற்பாடுகளை மேற்கொண்டதோடு நின்நு விடாமல் ஆரையம்பதி பிரதேசத்தில் விசேட தேவையுடைய மாணவர்கள் பயிலும் புகலிடத்தில் அம்மாணவர்களுக்கு 6 மாதங்களுக்கு பனையோலை உற்பத்திப் பொருட்களுக்கான பயிற்சிநெறியை மேற்கொள்வதற்கு அனுசரணை வழங்கினார்.

வறுமைக்கோட்டின் கீழ் வாழும் குடும்பங்களிலுள்ள மாணவர் சமுதாயத்தை மையப்படுத்தியதாக
தமது செயற்பாடுகளை முன்னெடுக்கும் வண்ணம் 2 மாணவர்களைத் தெரிவு செய்து அவர்களுக்கு கடந்த 2 வருடகாலமாக மாதாந்த ஊக்குவிப்பத்தொகை வழங்குவதன் மூலம் அவர்கள் தற்போது உயர்தரப் பரீட்சைக்குத் தோற்றியுள்ளமை குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.

பாடசாலைக்கு செல்வதற்கு சிரமங்களை எதிர்நோக்கும் மாணவிகளைத் தெரிவு செய்து அவர்களுக்கு எமது அறக்கட்டளையினூடாக துவிச்சக்கர வண்டிகளை வழங்குவதற்கும் தமது பங்களிப்பை வழங்கினார்.

தற்போது கரடியனாறு பிரதேசத்தில் 37 எழுத வாசிக்க முடியாத மெல்லக்கற்கும் மாணவர்களுக்கு 6 மாதகாலமாக அவர்களுக்கான ஆசிரியர் கொடுப்பனவினையும் இதர கற்றல் உபகரணங்களையும் பெற்றுக்கொடுப்பதற்கான அனுசரணையையும் வழங்கினார்.

இவ்வாறு எமது செயற்பாடுகளுக்கு பாரியளவில் தமது பங்களிப்பை வழங்கிக்கொண்டிருக்கும் அமெரிக்காவைச் சேர்ந்த திரு.வாமதேவன் அமர்நீதி அவர்களுக்கு எமது அறக்கட்டளை சார்பில் நன்றிகளையும் நல்வாழ்த்துக்களையும் தெரிவித்துக் கொள்கின்றோம்.

From Education to Community Wellbeing

Among the long-standing donors who have been supporting and carrying out various initiatives through the Vivekananda Community Foundation, we would like to extend our sincere appreciation to Mr. Vamadevan Amarneethi of the United States of America.

Mr. Vamadhevan Amarneethi initially began his support by providing special lunches for the students studying at our Annai Sri Sarada Centre in Mullaitivu. His support has gone beyond providing meals. Every year, on special occasions such as Thai Pongal, the Tamil New Year, and Deepavali, he continues to provide new clothes to the students of Annai Sri Sarada Centre.

He also contributed to our Pongal Pack Distribution Programme, organized by the Vivekananda Community Foundation to mark Thai Pongal, by supporting the provision of essential Pongal packs to families in need.

Similarly, during times of natural disasters, he has extended his support through the Foundation by contributing flood relief packs to affected communities.

His commitment to community development has extended beyond these initiatives. In the Aarayampathi area, he provided sponsorship for a six-month vocational training programme in palmyrah-leaf product manufacturing for students with special needs studying at a shelter and learning centre.

With a particular focus on supporting students from families living below the poverty line, he selected two students and has provided them with a monthly educational incentive allowance for the past two years. With this continued support, both students have now reached the stage of sitting for their G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination.

He has also contributed towards providing bicycles to selected female students who face difficulties travelling to and from school, enabling them to continue their education with greater ease and confidence.

More recently, in the Karadiyanaru area, he has provided sponsorship for 37 slow-learning students who face difficulties with basic reading and writing. His support has covered the teacher’s allowance for a period of six months, as well as essential learning materials and other educational resources required by the students.

Through these diverse and meaningful initiatives, Mr. Vamadevan Amarneethi of the United States has made a significant contribution towards the educational, social, and livelihood development of vulnerable communities.
